It's been a while since the last post but I finally managed to get through all the story of the book I'll talk about today, namely Belzhar.
INFO Title: Belzhar Author: Meg Wolitzer Genre: Young Adult Pages: 272 Format: Paperback Publisher: Speak Year: 2015 Price: 10,99 $
SYNOPSIS:
If life were fair, Jam Gallahue would still be at home in New Jersey
with her sweet British boyfriend, Reeve Maxfield. She’d be watching old
comedy sketches with him. She’d be kissing him in the library stacks.
She certainly wouldn’t be at The Wooden Barn, a therapeutic boarding
school in rural Vermont, living with a weird roommate, and signed up for
an exclusive, mysterious class called Special Topics in English. But
life isn’t fair, and Reeve Maxfield is dead. Until a journal-writing
assignment leads Jam to Belzhar, where the untainted past is
restored, and Jam can feel Reeve’s arms around her once again. But there
are hidden truths on Jam’s path to reclaim her loss.
I would like to apologize for not having post for a while but there were some things and situations that lead me this way. BUT, despite everything seems a really big mess and despite the wish to cry out loud like a child for what's happening lately, I'm trying to do my best to see the bright side whenever is possible.
I didn't read at all in these past few months, nor I watched doramas (that's a longer story for another time though), but I watched tons of anime and some of them were indeed pretty good, like Kiznaiver or Bungou Stray Dogs. Do you watch anime or doramas? If you want, let me know in the comment section below. I would love to meet someone who share my interests. ^_^
I also pick up once again Japanese language and I'm proceeding with discreet success. I know more than 100 kanji characters and it seems that, when I watch or read something, I can actually recognize some words or characters and that's makes me happy, of course, and proud of my own efforts. Yeah, I'm studying by myself.
The last thing for this post will be a great news: next week I will officially have.. a kitten! This will be my first experience with a cat but I'm so excited for this event! I really need someone to take care of and that can actually make me really happy, so I'm looking forward the day when the kitten will arrive.
That's all for today. Since I start a new book, I really hope that I will come back soon to write my thoughts about it. Have a nice day!
I'm quite fine despite the fact that some things came up during the week end. But I'm not here to talk about this. I finally read my first novel in English and I want to try to talk about it. :) Usually when I write about books on my Italian blog, I put also informations and synopsis about it before my comment, so I'll do the same thing here too. Happy reading!

also a cyborg. But when her life becomes entwined with the handsome
Prince Kai's, she finds herself at the centre of a violent struggle
between the desires of an evil queen - and a dangerous temptation.
How are you today? I'm quite fine if I don't pay too much attention to my neck ache. But I'm not here to talk about this.
I finally decided to face my fears of starting reading a book in English just by doing it. I know, that's what you always have to do when you want to overcome a fear or something similar, but if you don't have self-esteem like me, the decision can be quite difficult. Anyhow, I have done it starting Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I can't say that I understand every single word that I find but at least I can understand what I read, even if I check some unknown words on the dictionary. Despite that I still have some difficulties to get into the story but it's only a matter of time, I'm sure of it. In my shelf I have a lot of books and half-a-score of them are in English. Despite that I've never tried to pick one of those titles and at least give it a try, mostly because I've never thought that I would be capable ofunderstand what I read or something completely different like talking via Skype with a motherlanguage.
Hi there, I'm Debora and I'm just one girl like billions on the Earth. I'm 20, I'm Italian and I love reading books. This blog in fact is born with the idea of talking about something that I love - books! - trying to use my acknowledge of the English idiom to make something that'll be useful for me and maybe for you. I don't know if my thoughts will be grammatically fine but I'll do my best to test myself and see what I can do. It will be hard? Sure, I love Italian and I speak my mother language every single day, since the day I spoke for the first time, but I need to do this and I hope you'll be by my side in this adventure. Like I said before I'll talk about books, mostly the English ones that I'll read; why? I already have a blog in Italian where I talk about stuff in general: books, videogames, doramas, thoughts on my mind... so, as you can see, I already have plenty of books to talk about, and most of them are just the Italian version of a book write by an English author.
I don't know when I'll post my 'first' thoughts on a book but I bet that they will be on Cinder, mostly because tomorrow I think that I'll start it thank to a project on aNobii. Yeah, I'm on aNobii and Goodreads even if I don't like socials. xD
For now this is all I can think so I hope that would be enough. If you want, leave a comment.
